Lake McConaughy is a Boater's Paradise

Whether you have your own boat or you’re interested in renting one, Van’s is just the place you are looking for.

For those without a boat, Van’s rents 16 and 18 foot aluminum fishing boats with 18 or 25 hp motors. Pontoon boats are also available for rent with 40 hp motors. Rental boats also include a depth finder/fish locator. Sorry skiers, there are no ski boats or jet skis for rent.

If you’re not in the mood to do it yourself, we have a tug service available as well. During low water times, the tug service is the only means for boat launching at Van’s unless you have a smaller boat and a 4x4 vehicle.

There is gas available at the general store and at the marina on the water. We carry five major brands of oil, Champion spark plugs, shear pins, starter ropes, anchors, life jackets, ski vests, ski flags and many other boating items.

Out of state boaters need only comply with the regulations governing your boat in your own state for licensing. No special permits or fees are required.
